  • Those crabs need access to land. A brackish tank with even just a few rocks protruding from the surface works just fine. They dont need alot.

    Puffers only eat underwater.

  • @nemirn Yes true, but alot of people keep them in the same tank and they dont bother eachother. I havent quite figured out how that works with mine yet.

I got my puffers when they were very small, and started them at 1.010 SG. I have increased the salinity several times and now they are in a full marine reef tank with an SG of 1.026. They are more mellow and seldom even peck at any of the dozens of snails in the tank. They don't even attack the peppermint shrimps! I've wondered if the salinity influences their behavior and hunting habits. They do cruise around the corals and live rock, pecking at tiny invertebrates.

  • Fiddle crabs are air breathers. They need to live on dry land. Pet stores and idiots like Wal-Mart don't sell them that way. They drown slowly and their bodies soften and deteriorate in weeks. What a horrible way to live.

Yeah, the puffer help put them out of their misery. :)

  • Well there's 27 second's of my life ill never get back.

  • @12fishguy

They don't like bloodworms, but they love mysis shrimp, squid, and snails.

It's important to give them hard food like snails and crabs to prevent their beaks from overgrowing. If their beaks are overgrown, they won't be able to get food into their mouths and they will starve.

Look up "puffer dentistry". There's some crazy videos.

  • CRAB WINZ :D

  • @petes0104 The point of him putting this crabs with his puffer is for it to die. It's the puffer dinner! Also, my Wal-Mart sells fiddler crabs on moist gravel not underwater.

  • @nhamms excuse me , want to talk in Dutch maybe?
