There is scary and grim dark sandy and dirty science fiction look of Dubai. The artist final drawings of the completed skyscraper as it appears in the dusk all lit up making the surrounding area look pleasurable for living conditions with grass and trees at the surface is a joke. It’s amazing! The artist is paid to lure tenants in by making the area appear better then it really is. That may explain why tenants have backed out and said forget it when they got there!

When completed, I'll say Burj Dubai is a city within the city! With more than twice the height of the Empire State Building (1,250 feet, w/o the antenna), it's an AWE inspiring piece of engineering marvel!
I guess what I'm feeling now is just like what people felt back in the 1930's when the Empire State Building was being built.
Until someone builds a taller one, Burj Dubai IMHO is the Empire State Building of our time! I can't wait to see it for myself!

They are going to an economic crisis witht he price of crude oil dropping to 40 per barrel from the record 147 in july 2008. I suggest you bring extra money to give to the beggers in the city.
