Black hair comes in different textures. Not every black person has the texture of hair to grow an afro. And not all black people want to grow one. And it doesn't always have to lead back to self-hatred just because a black person prefers straight hair. Gosh!

Hey... I went to school with Danee. She is amazingly beautiful, and so is her hair. :) It always was. Her hair looked like that in highschool.

that girl's hair is relaxed, no weaves or anything, but they probably used a flat iron on her hair before shooting the commercial. and anyways, pantene does use a lot of effects to make hair look really shiny.

@koolkat1675 you are absolutely right about the no weave but the model portraying relaxed hair is in fact natural. if you look her up you'll see. that is actually a trick used by most hair commercials that used african american models. I believe it is because in general most african americans with relaxers don't tend to have those lengths

And yours was superfluous

I disagree. The fact of the matter is that when your hair is healthy it behaves better or like "white womens . The whole straight hair thing is how many black women choose to present themselves,You cant blame the commercial for that. Lastly I have done my research and neither one of them have relaxers this is the natural state of these womens hair they have just styled it to make it look more polished.Lastly you don't know that they don't find our hair beautiful thats just an opinion of yours.
