  • @JimmyChiffels You're retarded. Having the internet at ones finger tips is an amazing tool that you take for granted. Information is everywhere, and it's incredibly easy to distinguish a good source from a bad source. The internet is used a prime researching tool from the college level up. After reading this little chain between you and that dude you, you started out confused, and ended retarded and biased. Good job.

  • @JimmyChiffels I'm not an atheist, you assume to much and are to quick to attack people who don't see the world the same way you do. I understand that you may believe Lucifer is Satan, because the bible says so. You have every right to believe what it is you want to believe. I'm just pointing out that Lucifer and Satan are not one in the same, and what I believe is irrelevant and cannot change the reality of it. I hope you find peace, you seem very angry. Best of luck to you.

  • @Baz0kable Other words you are blindly calling people ignorant. ironic. You are using all these typical-internet argument language. "truth is..", "facts"

This isn't a debate where I may be right and you may be wrong. We are discussing on something you obviously have no idea about. Which is simply linguistics within the bible. If you never have done hands-on research, NOT surf the internet for 2 hours, state someone of ignorance. You're acting like a typical internet atheist.

  • @Baz0kable You see this still bothers me.

Morning star is NOT and was NOT a metaphor for a king. Especially for an infamous babylonian king. It was a direct definition, symbolism if you will, for an angel.

Do not turn my own argument against me when you have no idea. " everything has to be translated within cultural context" - " think about how people spoke and wrote..." Simply put.. You're contradicting yourself.

And this makes me laugh. WHAT FACT?! The fact you searched lucifer in wikipedia?

  • @JimmyChiffels Well thank you too for the discussion, even though it's hard to have a competent one with someone who is so indoctrinated that they have made up their mind before the discussion has began. The truth is, people will believe whatever it is they want to believe, despite any facts that may be presented. Good day.

  • @JimmyChiffels I think if you try hard you may figure it out. Think about morning star, light bearer, or better yet a bringer of light (hint hint). What is a morning star? What does it do? Think about how people spoke and wrote in the time that passage was written.

  • @Baz0kable Also You can NEVER translate the bible literally. Everything has to be translated within cultural context. You said it was ironic that Lucifer was the light bearer. Well there is no irony because he WAS an angel. He is a fallen angel/ Devil/Satan. Read the whole chapter before presenting an argument because this was a complete waste of time for me. Thanks for the discussion.

  • @Baz0kable

You are contracting yourself. Have you read the whole passage?

I know everything you just stated already and it does not support the argument that lucifer was a babylonian king. That was your main statement correct?

Bringer of light, " the light bearer" is the translation to angel thats it. There' no metaphor for it to be a babylonian king. " (NIv) Isaiah 14:12-15 How you have "fallen".... "morning star". I mean read it. It's really straight forward.

    Ironic? No.

  • @JimmyChiffels Also, I do not believe Christians are shallow. My mother is an evangelical Christian, and I don't think her beliefs are shallow.
