  • I think this is 1979 not 1989. I have on tape all Tony Awards from 1981. This isn't amongst them.

  • @Coley8 This really is 1989... Lansbury is 64 here. In 1979 she looks completelly different, believe me ;-)

  • On Broadway, years ago, I saw Angela Lansbury in "Mame". I have loved her ever since. I wish you had a clip of "Where's the boy with the horn... It made me cry.

  • @RedOakRockets I Believe you ment song "If he walked into my life" from Mame. Just type it into youtube and you can listen to track of this song, which Lansbury recorded. ;-)

  • the murder she wrote lady ..ÁÁÁ we love her

  • she was great here and always is, whatever she does........

  • i never knew she was on broadway. i only knew her as murder she wrote...

  • @cjmoore211 She only hosted the Tony Awards in 1987, 1988, and 1989. And she did Murder, She Wrote for another 7 years or so after this, so she definitely aged quite a bit on the show after this point. Also, they could have been making her look much older on the show than she really looked, the Tony Awards was her chance to show off how she really looked (damn good for 64/65ish!).

  • @asianpuppet24 she's still very much alive and performing, maybe you haven't seen her do "Liaisons" on this years Olivier Award, the most active and talented 85 yo around on the broadway scene...no need to miss her..she's still here!
