IS350 vs E46 M3 at MIR

I got a better ET and trap speed than the M3 6spd. The M3 ran a 13.7@103.07 and I ran a 13.52@104.39. I was kinda bummed that he won even though I beat him in ET and mph, but since he left the starting line 2/10's sooner and crossed sooner he took the technical win. Both of these cars are very similar in speed. Handling is another story...Win would def go to the M3.

Caymandiver74...I just noticed that this is your post. A 1/4 mile time of 13.5 in an IS350 is great...nice run. What mods do you have on it? I'm helping a friend shop for mods for his IS.

This was an old video. At the time I was basically stock with just a JOEZ intake. Had like 1/4 tank of gas and spare removed.

is350's are no match for M3's its a good one against the new 330 but a 335 would smoke it

Apparently you are wrong. The IS350 is a match for the M3 at least in acceleration. The IS350 is also just as quick as a stock 335.

@silverISthreefifty, LF-A is intended to run as like Ferrari F50 and Enzo so it's completely different class than the IS-F. IS-F is meant for luxury ride and great performance. LF-A would be the most reliable dependable supercar ever made on this planet earth.

Nice run...I miss my car (08). Totally agree with you about the handling, way too much understeer and not enough feedback from the front tires. I keep hoping they will eventually get the formula right. The Jan or Feb C&D had the '11 ISF matching the M3 exactly around Virginia Int'l Raceway and said the steering and suspension was much improved. With BMW like handling the IS would be hard to beat...now if they would just make the engine sound a little more like the LF-A...

@InfuriatedKIDD, yea depending on what part of region you are at IS350's can be very hard to find.. There are none in my area too. Yep your only option is to look for an used one. Good luck finding the right one.. too many of them used ones have gone through accidents.

@IS350King yea so i heard. i mean i wanna get a used lexus is350. and i cant find any 350s in the used department of lexus's all i find is 250s and others. so i might as well buy a used lexus from individual sellers and not at the dealership.

@ssracerx, your speedo gauge may have read 147 they are a bit off by 3~ 5 mph so you actually got to 143.  If you want to verify ask your local state trooper to take his speed gun and measure the run.
