Negro Bar Boat Launching Facility Push Slab FOX40 Sacramento

Negro Bar Boat Launching Facility is one of the most popular launching sites along Lake Natoma, 15 miles northeast of Sacramento. Lake Natoma is a part of the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area under the jurisdiction of California State Parks.

Cal Boating funded this project using Minor Capital Outlay funding totaling $460,000. As with all Capital Outlay projects, it was designed by Cal Boating staff engineers, who in addition oversaw the bidding, construction, and inspections. Nouae Vue was the Cal Boating Project Engineer.

This project consisted of the installation of a 52'x100' push slab launch ramp, a 10'x80' fiberglass low-freeboard boarding float, 10'x10.5' gangplank, two 10" (diameter) steel piles, and a pre-fabricated double vault restroom facility and performing upgrades to the existing parking area. The project was officially completed and accepted in January 2008.
