I believe Jacky and his older brother James were both born in Vancouver. Yes, he's quite fluent in Cantonese, apparently.

@vandia183 They were born in Taiwan, but moved over to Canada when they were really young. As I could remember, it was when Jacky was 6 or 7.

Because he moved to Vancouver when he was about 7. He hang out with people who speak Cantonese. That's how he learned his Cantonese.

Jacky goes to the same high school with a friend of mine that lives in Canada.

He said Jacky used to be quite darky and ugly lol but his voice is like a messenger of God.

He won high school singing competitions with relative ease.

I actually really dig his particular thick voice, sounds like he has a lot of air through those lungs.

@Cloudy0123 Hi there, yensnoopy. Every bio I have ever read of the brothers said they were both born and grew up and studied in Vancouver. I believe they had Cantonese speaking friends and possibly babsitters, which is why they are both fluent in Canto...
