Rare but was popular in the early 80's. From their only album which was named "Walls Have Ears" in the UK and "Ears Have Walls" in the U.S.

The band is notable for the fact that the band members, true to their band name, were never identified, using only pseudonyms (Tinker, Tailor and Soldier), leading to much speculation in the music press regarding their true identity.
Extensive research by Blanket of Secrecy fan Gary L. Maher eventually identified the members as:
Pete Marsh ("Tinker") - vocals and guitar
Roger Bechirian ("Soldier") - keyboards and backing vocals
Andy Howell ("Tailor") - bass and backing vocals

  • I hadn't heard this since the early 80s! I loved it & taped it off the radio, but the tape was lost & I never knew who the band was. Nobody else knew the song & it's never shown up on the 80s music revival stations I've listened to. Sometimes it randomly pops into my head even after all these years (it did the other night which is why I began another internet search for it). But I never heard it played again til just now! Great song, wish had CD & to see video! Thanks for posting!

  • Whole album is great, hope for a CD reissue someday . . .
