@Malloyism -IMHO she did not compare to Feuermann,,Rostropovich nor Casals.

@Lukecash12 -Rostropovich was in Emanuel's league,but only Casals compared..Both Heifetz and Rubinstein who played and recorded with him said that he was the best that ever played the cello.

What a cellist, I don't believe there has been anyone since his death who has matched his technical facility nor his ability to sing with the cello. This is an absolutely unique sound which we may never again encounter...akin to Heifetz on the violin.

you know, I agree with most of it, but never in my life would I put down Rostopovich or Yo-Yo Ma. You really crossed the line there.
