Oh ok. I'll use that on my next essay in a note so when i use the word funner, i wont get shot down for it lol.

Although not considered by some to be correct English, it follows the one-syllable rule of comparative inflection for English adjectives. In other words, a one syllable adj + er creates the form of the adjective with which you can create comparisons such as cheaper, thinner, hotter, colder, etc.
