I've sung this version, I don't understand why you would cut out the opening dialogue "The more I read the papers..." The tempo is a little too fast for a piece such as this. This was George Gershwin's last song. And as a bass, don't attempt this unless you have strong, mature basses that can sing the low F# and more importantly the final low E
