As part of the 100 Acts of Kindness campaign Gig Harbor United Methodist Women decided to make dresses out of pillowcases for young girls in Haiti. Their original goal was to make 50 dresses but with the help of over 60 community members they have made 173 dresses and that number continues to increase. 100 Acts of Kindness campaign is part of Tacoma Community Houses centennial celebration which honors TCHs 100 years of service to the community. Tacoma Community House is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides education, employment, interpretation, immigration and social services for refugees, immigrants, and English speaking adults and youth.
