Urethral dilatation procedure, for urethral stenosis (narrowing). Typically, this operation is performed in patients with bladder outflow obstruction and recurrent infections, with large residual bladder volumes. It takes approximately 3-4 minutes and is performed under a short general anaesthetic. Patients are usually discharged in the afternoon and followed up in outpatient clinic. Mr Iqbal Shergill.
