I'd much rather listen to you play this mezmerizing melody than listen to that old comedian guy play his "King Tut" crap. He tried to make believe he could play banjo but really sucked. what was that guys name .... something Martin .

the actual name of this song, by the way, is "lama bada yatathana" (spelling varies, also "lamma bada yatasanna" etc.) it's a popular tune throughout the middle east, you'll find many versions here on youtube! i think it's Andalusian / Moorish in origin.
"mwashah", or "muwashah", refers to the form of the song, but it's not a specific title...

Many thanks for all the background information there! Much appreciated - I'd seen Mwashah as the track title and assumed that was the name of the song so thanks for the correction! Is 'yatathana' pronounced as it is spelt? Only I can never pronounce the blasted name of the thing when I perform it where as the actual title of the song looks easier!
