This is an outtake of a solo I recorded recently for a project I'm currently involved in. It's a project that I'm doing with a friend of mine, playing some really heavy tunes within the likes of Meshuggah, Nevermore and some progressive Dream Theater-like stuff.
Here I'm doing some shredding, which I normally don't really do that much, but the song requested some turbo charged metal soloing ;-)
The rhythm track is recorded with an Agile Intrepid Pro (8-string) guitar and the lead is recorded using a PRS SE Mikael Åkerfeldt Signature guitar, which plays and sounds amazing!
I used Logic Pro 9.1.3 and the fantastic Amplitube 3 guitar modeling software.
I hope to upload the full song when it's finished.
The tuning isn't pitch perfect and therefore anything but flawless, but I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did recording these 51 seconds ;-)
Thanks for watching!

awesome. Does the rhythm also come from Amplitube 3?

No, the rhythm track was recorded using a Line 6 UX1 (Guitar Port). But, this is just because of practical issues. My friend, which recorded the rhythm parts, uses a UX1 only. In my case I would record it with Amplitube 3. The sound doesn't really differ that much from a UX1, in most cases it's even better and more transparant. Also check out my other video, called 'Molecular Upgrade' for the rhythm sound. That one is recorded with Amplitube 3. Thanks for your comment!
