@EyeMAbrain, you are right, after a while it really gets irritating. what abs-cbn should do is to get an american-born filipino reporter to do the job and give it justice. but knowing abs-cbn, they will never pay american rates to improve their service. heck, they will never pay for anything to improve their service!

I'd prefer she speaks English like Corrina Sanchez or Karen Davialla, who have a Filipino accent, but does not try to hide it. @EyeMAbrain, if you are really in the know, you know that 'slang' is the pinoy street slang for 'accent'. if something needs to be replaced, it is your words. 'slang' needs to be replaced with 'accent'. 'wanabe' needs to be replaced with 'wannabe'.

what i'm driving at is: why are we so preoccupied with trivialities?

@EyeMabrain Gel Santos Relos' audience is TFC community. I do not see any need why she should be replaced just because of her twang. I can very well hear the Filipino accent in her reporting and that is perfectly fine. Everybody carries an accent. We do not have to be too arrogant. Gel is a seasoned and respected reporter in TFC. And shall I say, you are an ignorant all-knowing nobody.
