Happy memories of the one and only Dr. Arnold Loxam (1916-2010) who died on Sunday. Arnold was the first organist I went to see and I was truly bitten by the bug. Arnold and Audrey became friends over the years and we had many happy hours talking organs at concerts and at their home. Thanks for the music Arnold!

Not sure how anyone can dislike a man who was almost 90 playing like he does in this video!!! RIP Arnold and his Wife Audrey, proud to have had them both as personal friends and this brings back a lot of happy memories.

I played at the Rex Elland for almost 7 years and Met Arnold on several occasions , Not only a very gifted exponent of the Theatre organ but a Gentleman and an inspiration .
Not only was Arnold a very gifted Musician and exponent of the theatre organ but a Proud Yorkshireman too ( as I am ) and what a way to finish a set Ilkla Moor Bah't 'at class act no one can follow !

Dimmer Thanks for the comments -- meanwhile Arnold is still playing on out there with an even wider audience - I wonder if there's a Wurlitzer up there.
Thanks rsb
