because Ben in a panic wasn't thinking, and said that stuff hoping Kermy would spare her.
It was never going to work, but he was desprate and tried everything
P.S - This has to be one off the best LOST scenes ever

OMG so powerful! It's not sad and weepy, it's strong and dramatic! The music would be inappropriate if not for Emerson's SUPERB acting!

i was just watchin that show, 24 and the guy that plays jin is in a few episodes.

keamy is kinda hot, if it werent for his buck teeth lol. ben is just stubborn, even though he couldnt have saved alex by going outside, probably not anyway, buthe could have said something nice to alex, not she means nothing to me, go ahead and kill her. this is one of 2 best scenes in lost for me...its so id unno , just amazing!
