  • Don't know about a modern version. It is tuned in the range of a violin, but tuned GDGD. Probably the most common tuning for medieval music. Because I am making entry level instruments, the most inexpensive quality strings for the pluscked instruments is nylon harp string. I buy it by the roll, however, classical guitar strings or nylgut or gut can all be substituted by the purchaser.

    Thanks

  • Beautiful Citole. I think that the modern

version of this Citole is the Tenor Uke.

How do you string it (like a re-entrant uke ?)

What kind of strings do you use, gut or nylgut ?

& lastly but not leastly what tuning are using ?
