SIMPLY awesome. i regret never having the chance to listen to them alive.

People nowadays forget one of the key things about all types of music. Less is more. I think Duke did more with fewer notes than anybody else would, especially compared to guys nowadays who are always trying to over complicate things. Keep it in a context and make the notes matter. Its not just a key or just a fret.

clever duke, love it............

@alisanchazz Check out his handiwork on Ellington's Far East Suite, especially the opening number, "Tourist Point of View". This very rhythm section drives the hell out of the orchestra.

Duke el mas grande músico de USA

so clear and minimalistic!! delicius!

With Duke, you don't listen to music, you watch notes gently blown by the breeze on canvas.

simply he's the best!!!!!
Not just great players but great communicators as well. They play with a clear and common purpose and it sounds so much better to my ears than so much of todays piano trios. Magnificent.

Beautiful piece I've never heard before. Different but unmistakably Duke.
