i just dont get how in a weird time signature like 7/4 or 7/8, how can you tell the difference between quarter notes and eighth notes. like, in 4/4 its obvious because a quarter note gets 4 a measure and 8th notes get 8 a measure. but in 7, how would you know if the bottom number is 4 or 8.

@TheSchoolsux345 the feel is the same, but the number of times you feel the pulse before the melody/phrase starts over changes. 7/4 has quarter notes as the beat, but it happens 7 times. 7/4 example count to 7: /watch?v=Uev2J_cBHjQ
