It costs thousands of dollars for legal residents in the US, eligible to become citizens, to begin the process. On April 19th in Colorado, a Naturalization drive brought volunteers and legal residents together to file for citizenship.
The attorney made some good points. But the laws are pretty simple to understand and follow. Just do what the instructions say and you will be fine. I process documents all the time, and it does not take a lot of brain.
Becoming a citizen shouldn't be such a big deal. Just get in, get out, get on with your life. Fill out a little paperwork, get the right documentation, and get on the path to becoming legalized. It shouldn't be so damn hard. What are we afraid of with all these regulations??? It's paranoid.
$3,000?? Jesus christ! Do these idiots in Congress not realize how hard it is for immigrants?? Why are they sitting on their asses rather than streamlining the process significantly? I'm sure it'd be beneficial for Republicans in elections, too (strategery), if they'd make it easier for hispanics to become citizens, and it could reduce illegal immigration. But they're too closed-minded for that. Why the fuck did the gov't make all these rules in the first place??
Is it possible for illegal immigrants to make right with the feds and become citizens through this, or does the us gov't actually expect them to go back home and 'legally' cross the border because "they broke the law"? Insanity at its best, folks. Criminalize innocent people for one technicality and punishing them for wanting a better life. Or denying them their jobs because the gov't found out someone is hiring illegals, all of whom may well be law-abiding folks with no criminal background.
This is a very informative video!

Does that Uptake woman smoke a lot? Her voice is very raspy and kind of annoying. :/
