Home Brew Ham Radio, 40M SSB Transceiver

Its in the works. I layed out the board with a CAD software program I downloaded from the website of a board house in Colorodo. They made me 5 boards based on that layout. Its a SSB, 40M transceiver. I had to compromize and order a kit for the L.O. because I tried 10 or 15 different VXO and VFO circuits, but couldn't get them to work at the right frequency. One of them was very close, but no cigar. I don't know if it will work but I should find out in a few weeks when I get the oscillator kit. Most of what is built so far works, but its not completely tested.

I added to the video. The magazine article I mentioned at the end is in the November issue of QST from the ARRL. The schematic is figure 2 in the article about "Rockbound no more".
