Five natives of Tuva (near Mongolia) performed an ancient form of singing called "throat singing" or "overtone singing" at Edmond, OK on Nov 13,2008. Filmed by Stan Paregien Sr. This song is about a horse and in English the title is "The Yellow Trotter". Note their native costumes and instruments.

  • Spellbinding!

I just watched "Tennesee Stud" by various artists and thought about who else sings of horses. I knew that between Russia and China there have long been horse-based cultures, and I already knew Tuvan throat-singers sang of horses, but I never expected to find exactly that, first hit of search "tuva horse song" I was surprised to find what I thought were tourists were in fact the natives!
