new imac screen issue!!! have to see it to believe it!

started up my computer....walked away came back 10 minutes later and voila! as mysteriously as it apearred it then disappeared :) This is just another screen issue I have with my new imac. Does anyone hazve this issue? I will probably try to post some more screen issues when I catch them as I have a few. My mac has been sent back to the mac store requesting a new screen - however they decided it was the motherboard and it came back still with the identical screen issue i sent it away for and now I have this one!
What am I to do.....I use this machine for work and cant afford it to leave me again for 7 days plus...anyone with advice - I am getting pretty S@#**y now.

Have finally worked this out it's overheating there is sunlight warming the screen and turning it black insane someone posted they had the same issue and I tested it and yup sunlight I love my mac but really apple sort it out she says from her iPhone which rocks my world thanks all for helping :) oh yeh good one we do have computers in Australia on ya sooooo funny my side is splitting no really stop it sigh

Wow now macs come with special FX on the screen? This Jobs guy sure is breaking through with new technologieeeeees!... Oh... it was a deffect??? er... sorry to hear that I thought they just worked...

@audioslaverockband that usually means that your iMac can't find/ boot from the os. re install mac os x, by holding the "C" key when you turn it on.

That mean your heard drive is dead. Hope you backed up your work cause its gone now.

well i have a IMac G4 when it start mac i see no apple screen i just see a folder icon with a question mark and mac folder blinking i figured it out i pushed alt option but then i don't see anything anyone no what wrong with my mac

i just bought an imac about 2 weeks ago and i have an issue ... a few minutes after i turn it on .... the screen goes off... well not off but black... and ughh... i hate it coz i also got issues with my ipod... gosh cant these ppl do anything right...grrr... well i hope you get to fix your prob! good luck
