The FCC is moving toward a consolidation of American Media. That means that a one big media company can own all newspapers, radio, and TV stations in one community, controlling all the news, media, and entertainment, and it's content.
This may be decided in December 2007.

Several hearing were held with short notice. The one in Seattle on November 9, 2007 was set up with only 5 days notice. Still, over 1000 people attended. Over 275 people signed up for public testimony, which went on past 1 am.

Each person was allowed up to 2 minutes. This and other uploaded videos are their testimony. (Not covered by the big media outlets) -- this is one of the few places where you can hear their non-censored views.

  • This video ALONE makes me proud to be an American. To see these citizens standing up to this corporate slime is hugely inspiring.

  • The bias of the mainstream media is more blatant than ever. VOTE RON PAUL for a change

  • the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. yet our entire nation is tuned into the devil's wave, tamed and purring, to the hum of static that is the truth free media outlets of modern society. our whole world has been bought and sold on the black market in which governments are bought and sold, yet bill oreilly and everyone else are deeply concerned with micheal jackson, sarah palin, jennifer aniston billy mays and healthcare.

  • nobody is listening. they're all tuned in to a certain frequency that tunes out the truth about the world bank, imf the fed the corporate media and monsanto

  • Nice work, GB! I'm so glad you were there to film and post this. Several months ago I looked all over for more videos from other cities on the FCC tour/ couldn't find ANYTHING about it in the paper. (I didn't even know they extended to Seattle~!) Great to see 1,000 people attending...Seattle folks are super, that way.

    Thanks again...Keep it up.
