Ways to Die Quest for Glory 1 New: Part 3

A third of the ways to die in Quest for Glory I: So You Want to Be a Hero remake.

Well, I got the lowdown on dying through starvation or sleep depravation: it CAN'T be done in this game. All that happens is that you lose six stamina (or health) points per hour that your hero doesn't get something to eat or sleep. However, this strangely bottoms out at one health point.

As you can see, most of the deaths are exactly the same as the original's but there are a few that are specific to the remake.

And I'm pretty sure that I got all the deaths, but if there is one you KNOW is there that I missed let me know.

UPDATE: Thanks to Zachski, I have a new death. It's trying to cast a spell in the Brigand Ambush. That's two that he's found that I missed. Thanks!

Great game, great video :D:D. Perhaps you missed one death: (or did I miss it?) the centaur-with-the-rake killing you.

@MrWhitman I think you have to hit on the centaur's daughter, if I remember correctly. Also, is there someplace I can find the VGA version of this for a modern computer?

@MissHuggyface HItting on the daughter never gets you killed. As far as a modern computer version... there are some at Amazon.com but it's expensive at $64.85 for a used copy. I'd recommend just getting DOSbox and playing it on that.

One of the funniest ways to die is by casting the CALM spell during battle.

There is also fighting any monster without a dagger as thief or magic user... or was that in the first two?

@MrWhitman My mistake, I remembered a line about the sharp hooves or so, but now I think of it, it stays with the line and you don't actually get to fight it. Must have been a bit too long since I played QfG :(
