After waiting over month for this worthless junk it comes back in worse shape. Shoddy repair work shell not properly replace by repair center absolute waste of my money. This is the second locomotive this repair center has messed up on me. I have lost all confidence and a bunch of money when all they can do is replace the locomotive and stop wasting my time.

  • Sad ... "and more n more common-place with product reliability. Did you get it back ?

  • @TommyZTrains they gave me the SD70Mac for a replacement extremely lack luster in detail but it works.

  • Very beautiful model. Congratulations.

  • @PhilbruProduction Thank you

  • I guess I'm fortunate in that I can "Try before I buy" at my local train store....otherwise, they wouldn't see a nickel from me until I see it run in their store!

  • @Broncort1 that is the best way to buy them. This thing only acts up in DCS.

  • I had the same problem with 3 MTH engines. Rock Island U30C, BNSF ac4400cw & the new es44ac. I discovered it seems to be with the 6 wheel trucks. For all 3 engines they are the exact same trucks (mechanically). I also noticed that it was more pronounced at the point on my layout farthest from the power hook-ups from the transformer. A call to MTH tech. told me to loosen the screws that hold the bottom of the trucks to the top of the trucks- this helped loosen the gears & free them up. It worked!

  • @CSX4343 I very well Understand what u r going threw with the speed controls,, I have an ALCO NEW YORK CENTRAL S2 Switcher, which was acting up, ran cool at first, but .when i went to pick up the freight do some switching and coupling, DAM!!!!! I REALLY COUPLED!!!!, I press down hard on the RED EMERGENCY Button, to stop the the unit dead , and went to use another switcher, I had to go and travel to get the other switcher from my moms house, and send that to the shop ,

  • Awe! I know how you feel!

  • @Southerntreatment hey thanks for the kind words, this thing is on its way to Maryland. We bothers me the most the same service center burns me twice. I never knew why they didn't send it back to the factory in the first place.
