NORML held its legal seminar in Aspen, CO, June, 2006.

Anita Thompson, Hunter's widow, invited all to party at Owl Farm.

A great time was had by all in Aspen and at Hunter Thompson's Owl Farm.

The Sheriff Bob Braudis/Juan episode was a very funny. I was talking with Bob along with the Rocky Mt. News reporter on the deck in front of the house; all the guns were going off in the back ground. Then a man walked up looking very stern; he said "Bob, the neighbors don't think this gunfire is very funny; It really must stop now! You are disturbing all of the neighbors!" He identified himself as a Pitkin County Commissioner. Bob walked back to the gun range. Bob asked Juan to stop firing. Juan said, "But sheriff, I just loaded another clip!" Bob said, "Ok, just shoot off that one and stop."

  • Another day in Colorado. Just getting stoned, shooting off guns, and listening to music.

  • Hunter S Thompson WASTE his life? WTF!?!? That man did more for our freedoms than you could ever imagine. He may not have fought in wars etc...but he sure as HELL respected and held people to our constitution. Think before you speak...PLEASE.

  • What a bunch of loathsome hippies. I really like HST's writing and I think I know what he liked about the mid 60's but I think he was probably very disappointed in what became of that generation. He was definitely right about the whole wave that crested and fell back and it fell back long ago. The hippies that wandered the streets of Aspen back in the 60's are probably the land developers these days, selling million dollar condos to other old rich fart hippies. The horror, the horror.

  • @libertarian45 he wasnt really one of the flower power hippys. left wing but a fucking nutter

  • awesome F.U.P.A @ 2:38

  • I always found HST's love for drug use and guns somewhat contradictory. Most people that love his work hate the thought of gun ownership. I guess it comes down to freedom: free to own guns, free to drink, free to experiment with drugs and, ultimately, when you are sick and in pain, free to end your life...

  • Dumbass can't tell an AR from an M-16.HST was a 60's icon. You decide if that's good or bad but to my generation he rocked. As for snuff films, google Iraqi conflict.Just something else that makes us all puke.

  • Why does no one mention that HST made SNUFF MOVIES?! Captured the MURDER of CHILDREN ON FILM for the "entertainment" of NWO sickos. Very lucrative. Cancels out anything positive he may have done in his life. This fact is verified by HST personal assistant Nikole Brown and Franklin Photographer Rusty Nelson.

  • @OperationOD I'm British. But I know for a fact that Hunter was the most patriotic American I have ever known or known of. And that's exactly why he stood against Nixon and all the other fascists trying to strangle and bleed his beloved country dry and lifeless. Just look at it now. Victims of the mass media, spoonfed excuses for souls, just waiting to be marched into the FEMA camps when US bombs drop on home soil. We need another Hunter.

  • this guy wasnt a hippie. he was more of a libertarian that took his belief to the extreme.

  • WE did 2007 ...wow
