starter og går som ei ræv de første minuttene deretter som en drøm
-
give it heat for 20 seconds and then it will fire up fist time
-
@oudijzergek we used to advance the timing by 2 degrees, it made all the difference between a poor starter and an instant starter

I rebuilt my Ferguson TO35 Standard Diesel and it sounds identical. Mine, however, does not have glow plugs. It has a fuel pre-heating cold start system which works pretty well. It originally had 2-6 volt batteries in series. Just a little ether works every tie in all temps.

If compression is good and the right injectors are in it (different for seperate glow plugs and for flamethrower), set to correct pressure and the injector pump is timed right (17 or better 18) there is no reason the 23C won't start. This engine is given a lot of "bad press" because service engineers keep forgetting that these have a timing chain that stretches and causes retarded timing. Why they didn't re-time them like the petrol engines we will never know I guess....

@oudijzergek
the glow plugs and the injectors are new and adjusted. I haven't done anything with the timing or the pump. so next step is to check the timing and maybe rebuild the pump..
