why two rods? the heat speed and pressure is what makes a good weld. 5mm seems a bit excessive and more expensive 3mm or 4mm would do the job just as well. not sure what the pound conversion is but 19 grams per minute would do the job on smaller weld cavities. but otherwise looks like a ok device, more for applications like pond linings rather than pipes.
