If things were bad enough... Obama extended and reinstated torture as well and that allows for Americans to be detained indefinitely and tortured by authorities for the mere suspicion of committing “a belligerent act."

Absolutely nothing. Socialism as a concept was maligned by Nixon/Reagan so that capitalists could reduce the budget of taking care of the populace and put that money into big business so that the rich grow richer while the poor are left to fend for themselves. but the funniest bit is that the poor whites who vote republican and are so against socialism would be among the ones who would benefit the greatest from it.
