How to configure the Remote Application to work with the iTunes on your Computer.
1. Open Remote Application
2. Click on Add Library
3. A four digit passcode will appear on your iPhone
4. Open up iTunes on your computer
5. Look for the tab "Devices" and click on your iTouch/iPhone
6. Type in the four digit Passcode
**Note**
Your laptop and iTouch/iPhone need to be connected to the same wireless network in order for this to work.

  • ATTENTION Window 7 users: It might have to do with your "Bonjour Service" being turned off.

    1. Open start menu type in "Services" it should look like a silver log.

    2. Open it, and scroll down to the section of "B" and it should be right there.

    3. Set it to "automatic" [iTunes must be closed to do this].

    4. Hit "apply" and then "ok"

    5. Start up "remote" on your iDevice, and start iTunes.

    6. Thumbs this up :3 so people can see it! :D

  • @MheeRhinosaurus Thank you for helping others, my comment will keep you on top comment.

  • Wow, The 4 digit numbers dont show up on my computer when i click on iPhone device

  • @MyCatIsItchy I believe that means you have already paired the two together before. I can't say off the top of my head, but somewhere in the options on the top it will give you the option of removing previous devices

  • i have a laptop that uses wifi to connnect to my wireless router and my iphone is connected to the same wireless router, i cant find my iphone under devices, but when i use pc which is connected thru ethernet, it works...

can u explain in more detail and settings please

    thankyou

  • @FrostKruncher1 umm i'm not exactly sure why that it happening, maby your laptops security settings is hiding it from the router, so I would research your internet security provider and see how you can change that setting.

  • THANX

  • @EminentTechStudios well, i actualy figured it out, the cause was that Remote connects to the host of the network, not the clients, the other computer which is connected thru ethernet is the host, i created my own network of my laptop and my other pc and remote works on both, but REMOTE appears on both libarys, on a normal internet it only appears on the host not on all the libarys i still dont get it

    =/

    thankyou
