I am hooked on these EQs. They are not good for everything, indeed I have a pulltec EQ plugin I use often...but they are good at removing mud and adding a musical top end to a finished mixdown. Especially in conjunction with the 'brilliance boxes.'
It is hard to make these EQ plug ins sound bad in my experience, these are one of the few plug in EQs that I will use to boost, as opposed to cutting frequencies. My favorites are
