http://www.danceclassmusic.com/9639.html This video accompanies the album, "David Howard & Steven Mitchell - Music For Ballet Class" and contains a complete ballet class for intermediate level training. David Howard instructs two dancers from the David Howard Dance Center by clearly showing each combination of steps before the music starts and offering suggestions after the exercise is over. The dancers demonstrate the exercises in both directions at the Barre and all the combinations in the Center. Steven Mitchell has created arrangements of twenty five melodies to be used in the ballet class. The standard four count introduction is combined with easy to follow rhythms and uplifting melodies. Many of the selections on the album are contained on this visual demonstration with some of the longer melodies for Center work fading out after the exercise has been performed several times.

  • I love it!

  • The dancers are Alexandra Ansanelli and Anton Pankevitch

  • It looks real good and awesome funny, wish i could do it too with the same style and class, i can only do a couple of moves that's rather funny than pretty.

  • gosh i wonder how many years it takes to perfect those jumps, i find it hard to jump because my legs never stay turned out lol.

  • She's Alexandra Ansanelli when she was a student at SAB. She went to become a principal with the royal ballet but just retired.

  • I dont like the girls feet on pointe. But she is a beautiful dancer despite that.!

  • you'd think she'd plier a little deeper in her jumps, no?

  • I am pretty sure that IS A. Ansanelli. She was SAB trained but managed to be promoted to principal at the Royal Ballet. Last time i saw her perform with them she had lost the funky Balanchine arms so I guess that's good.

  • The Boy's Feet are to die for! And someone needs to get hired on at SAB who knows how to train all those talented students how to use their backs and arms! SAB training seems to start at the feet and end at the waist. Russian training starts at the feet and continues past the top of the head and beyond the fingertips. Their coordination is very distinctive and very pleasing to the eye. I wish there was some way SAB could incorporate it in their training.
