  • I've been looking at installing a rainwater capture system for some time. Not sure 500 gal is sufficient given some recent droughts, but many times what we have now. What does it cost to have a system like this installed?

  • @dazzled98 Glad you liked the system. Contact the good people at Aquascape for that answer - I believe it depends on how large of a system you have, etc. To reach them, please go to their website at aquascapeinc . com and contact a representative who can answer all the details for you. Thanks much!!

  • Cool, thanks for directing me here- and once again- Awesome fountain!

  • @BeyondBracelets You got it! :-)

  • I live in Ohio at the end of the other yards and receive quite a bit of water runoff. How can I do something similar by catching water? I think the problem will be in the filtering. Any suggestions?

  • @MaryPonder My suggestion is to go to aquascapeinc site - this is the group that installed the rain water exchange product and see how they might be able to help.

  • @TheCasualGardener Re: 1pigirl's question, is 500 gallons enough to sustain the outdoor water needs for SoCal and similar climates during droughts? Also, did you get a Federal tax credit, state? Great vid, thanks for making it. DD

  • Cisterns can be great, but they too can interfere with the natural order of things. In the event too many ppl. hold back way more water than they did they can impact the need of those who depend on stream flow for their water needs. I was kinda expecting a somewhat shallow tank, but this is the first I've seen this system.
