you cant go D1 if you havent produced at this level for more than one year. size doesnt matter if he was putting these numbers up his junior year he waould have had tons of D1 looks.
ok 1st of his name is brandon reel i am his cousin im dead serious our family is told that brandon is a great running back but he is very short he is most likely going D1 if he waz bigger he wuld have played for clemson chances are still possible
He's 5'8" are around 175-180. Anyhow, it's not just his size. He doesn't have the speed to impress D1A coaches. At that size you had better be able to flat out fly. He runs about a 4.5, which is fast, but there are 220+ pounders that run that at the D1A level. His greatest assets are his vision and agility... plus the fact that he played on a very good team in a very weak league.
Breaking your collarbone twice will also scare away would-be D1A recruiters.
to small???keep your head up, same thing they told this guy--Wes Welker WR 5-9 185 for who? New England Patriots. It's not where you have to start playing its where you end up. Keep your momentum in the positive direction and disregard anyone who tells you that you are to small.

In a playoff game the guy ran 420 yards for 6 touchdowns. Hes so skilled and has such good vision for the field I would take him if I were D1.
