This feral hog eradication program is funded by a group of farmers who are taking progressive action to reduce the devastation done to their crops by these animals. Each and every feral hog is estimated to cause $1400 in crop damage during its lifetime. As you can see this data in combination with the extraordinarily high and ever expanding hog population proves to be a very big problem. Through the support of the farmers of Haskell Co. the hog population is on its way to a more controllable state as well as a much higher crop yield for the farmers.

  • Getting a lot of questions about retrieval of the hogs...NO we typically do NOT pick them up. We have killed over 5,000 of these destructive vermin over the past 2 and a half years....there is no way and no where to dispatch this many hogs for food. We have had non profits come and we give them hogs in the past, but now most non prof's and NO major processors will take them due to diseases. The hogs destroy 400 million dollars in crops a year. This is a depredation program. Plain and simple.

  • @Majiksmoke what if you had mice and rats in your house, would you just kill the mature males? these feral hogs are just that, costing farmers and ranchers at an estamated $1,500.00 ea. in land and crop damage not to mention the parasites and disease they cary not only to farm anamals but to humans as well as attacking them both.

  • @andythemangoetz its not a hobby... they do it because they have to

  • Whata badass!

  • Those pigs destroy my land, I can usally get within 30 feet of em when I shoot. Never had any charge me though.

  • $53 million per year is the number the state of Texas has come up with. And many major processors do accept them... alive.

I'm not disparaging your methods, because the pig problems is too large to be solved by just one means.

  • @SAEelew but..... so much bacon....
