  • Republica, "Ready to Go"

  • Amazing video. Now does anyone know any wildland crews hiring for this summer? I'd really like to get on a crew in Alaska, but open to locate wherever there is work. I have volunteer firefighting experience, a fire science associates degree, in shape, a good attitude, and I have been trying to get a job for the past three years but I just don't know the right people. I don't mind any jobs on the crew, I just WANT to get my feet wet!!! Thanks.

  • THANKS I GOT IT NOW!!!

  • Great Video....Please...does anyone know who did the music for the video? group and song title? Sounds familiar but can't recognize for sure.

I have a friend that lives in Fort Yukon. Her Son is in the video playing tundra golf.

  • Great video.......put a little more village hot shot crews in your shots! Those folks are amazing!

  • Hahahaha, effers! So yellow, and CLEAN! I hate fighting fires around fort yukon. It's the hottest and the coldest part of Alaska, and the terrain sucks for the most part. Swampy tussocks as far as the eye can see!!! The last fire we were on this season was about 7 miles out from Fort Yukon. One morning it was 15 degrees! I have never had so much fun while being so cold and miserable!

  • Gotta love the native crews and they're pretty yellow shirts.

  • Woot! This is an awesome video, I've worked in an FBO where planes were dispatched for fires but I've never seen it from this perspective. Thanks for sharing! *rock on*

  • It was nice to see all these pictures again. I was a little disapointed that the bullshit meter on the mechanics hooch wasnt in the video sonce it was such a big part of everyday living there. I was there as a mechanic for the whole season 55 days with the Astar.
