I lost 17 pounds in a week after completing a 7 day water fast. Doctors recommend only up to 3 days without medical supervision. The fast was pretty easy, although I was very tired, weak and had to take time off of work. Ending the fast was the hardest part. I paid the price for not being medically supervised!

  • Thanks for your comment. It wasn't my sister, it was someone who watched this video. Dr. Joel Fuhrman says not to fast without medical supervision for more than 3 days. I did not follow his advice. I am not an expert, just showing one result of not doing it properly.

  • Stupid water fasters and their unhealthy, dangerous diets. My sister died from water fasting because people kept telling her to keep going.

  • @normalpsychology I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your sister. Thanks for sharing her story. I for one, will not be doing any extended fasts without medical supervision.

  • You can always overeat and mess up your hard work! Even with a single day of fasting. It just becomes more important the longer you fast to maintain control of refeeding. Read, "Hunger: An Unnatural History" and "Fasting and Eating for Health" for deeper insight into what happens when you fast. They're really interesting books!

  • WELL, ACTUALLY YOU DID TO YOURSELF BABES..YOU SPECIFICALLY SAID "YOU GAVE INTO EATING WHAT YOU WERN'T SUPPOSED TO"..THAT DOES IT RIGHT THERE...WHEN YOU FINISH A WATER FAST, YOU SHOULD EAT ONLY GLUTEN-FREE, RAW FOODS (FRUITS AND VAGGIES, AND IN WEEK 2 SMALL PORTIONS OF PROTIEN, WITH A EXCERCISE REGIMIN 3-5 DAYS A WEEK, WHICH EVER YOU HAVE TIME FOR..YOU DID IT WRONG, I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS AND KEPT OFF MY WEIGHT FOR 9 MONTHS..WITH JUST 2 WEEKS OF FASTING..WHICH I USED AS A JUMPSTART

  • @balamquitzeramos Agreed and still have another 25-35lbs of feces to go.

  • Its not that uncommon to lose upto 15 pounds in fasting. The reason is most people 15 or more pounds of feces in the gut.

  • As an MMA fighter I have to cut weight to make weight. Fighters can shed 10-12lbs in a day...(only water weight) but still...all those people out there who bitch and cry because theyre fat and outta shape...then lose weight! If you want it bad enough than do it

    

  • Water fasting sounds unhealthy....just drinking water?? Come on now...if I drink water without eating first (for example, first thing in the morning drinking water) I get sick...it makes me want to puke.

  • So YOU ate a crap load of pizza, did not eat for a week, then pigged out. sorry to say. That was not how water fasting is supposed to go. You are not supposed to enter nor exit a water fast with abruptness. I conclude this video is to debunk water fasting. You only showed an ass of yourself. Water fasting is very beneficial when done correct. You say your sister died.. I dont see mention of that in this? If you refuse to learn about this, you will have a bad outcome. Duh.

  • I made the same mistake with my fast last month.Went to a buffet 3 days after i ended it actualy hahah.I didnt have any stomache problems but i gained nearly 20lbs in a week >.<

    Still didnt gain ALL of it back.I stopped myself before I made too much of a mess.

  • @3wheatgrass Thank you, that means a lot to me. Please share this information with others. Monitoring ones chloric intake is fine, but the human body requires real food such as bread, chicken, and things that keep the teeth healthy. Not eating solid food will destroy your teeth and other areas of your body. My heart goes out to all those who are trying this dangerous pseudo-diet without knowing the truth about it.
