The airship was actually pretty shape. The people that died were either burned by the petrol used for the propellers or tried to jump out of the airship :|

Dude... The Zeppelin LZ 129 Hindenburg was named after German President Paul von Hindenburg. Hindenburg wasn't a Nazi. Hindenburg hated the Nazis. He hated Hitler. He was the Chancellor of Germany before Hitler took over in 1936. So those who keep saying that the Hindenburg was a Nazi airship doesn't know what the hell they were talking about and should shut up because this is just like saying Hitler is Jesus Christ when in reality he was a monster. so please relieve us of ur ignorance ppl.

Herbert Morrison was at Lakehurst , recording a story to be taken to Pittsburgh for broadcast on the first radio station KDKA .He was from the town of Scottdale Pa . Some of his decendants still live in the area. Later in life he devolped the D 104 MIC that was popular with C.B. 's and then sold the patent to the company that made it.

@daTruChosen The hidenburg wasn't a nazi airship. The creator of the Hindenburg was strongly against the nazis but the nazis saw the airship as a symbol of power and strength. They then threatened him with his life and the threat to burn the airship if he didn't add the nazi insignia on the tailfins.

Terrific use to be an adjective to describe a type of event dealing with it scale being a "terrific" scale. But as time has passed it has moved to only pertaining to something positive."
In all actuality the word better splits into the two words..Terrifying Effect. Terrific.
