This is a little misleading...the FDA HAS approved HIV tests for blood screening for "donors." So yeah, they don't specifically call it an HIV test for an individual...but what's the difference?

@devotron - The FDA has never approved a test to prove HIV infection, not for donors and not for individuals. All they have ever approved is a test to find non-specific antibodies which have never been proven to be associated with HIV. Furthermore, if a person tests “positive” for so-called HIV antibodies, it means that the human body has successfully fought off any danger from HIV, as it means in every other antibody test.

@sexybritgent I posted your comment, even though there is nothing to "cure." There is no test that can accurately tell you you have something to cure, and even if the test were accurate and could tell you correctly that you had HIV, there is still nothing to cure since HIV is a harmless passenger virus that has never been scientifically proven to cause any harm or damage to any human being, much less be the cause of AIDS.

If someone with HIV dies of just about anything, it is usually labeled as an AIDS death, so your statistics are skewed. And besides, what does denying the role of HIV in AIDS causation have to do with dying of AIDS? None of the HIV-Denialists are denying that AIDS exists and that people die from it. They just want the real cause of immune disorder to be studied. Wouldn't we all like to see that happen? We can stop accusing people of passing a virus around when we realize AIDS is not contagious.

hiv / aids does not destroy the immune system... hiv / aids is the result of an already destroyed immune system, when you have an abusive life style, drugs user, emotional abuse, stress.. etc... your immune system gets weak and it's called hiv / aids. it's more then just a disease it's an institution, shelfish people with power and lots of money, it's a death sentence when you take the treatments.
