Our gouvernment just fell. It's bad for us, this gouvernment wasn't perfect at all, but it was much better than what the today's oposition is going to do.

Anyway, our dear European friends, don't worry. The votes will be not before July. I hope our gouvernment will continue in succesful work for Europe. We helped in Gaza, about the gas problem. We trust you will say on June: "Those Czechs ruled!"

Yes, despite imperfections, it's sad. Prime minister Topolánek was shattered.

He will almost surely continue as the boss of the Czech EU presidency, and probably also as the boss of a provisional government that will lead our homeland to the early elections.

EXTREMELY disappointing beginning for Czech presidency! So many killings in Gaza so many innocent and Czech Republic puts first its relationship with US and support Israeli war against Palestinians! But from Klaus I would never expect something better than a good commercial he is trying to make an American puppet state in Europe! Too bad for Czechs to be represented by this guy

Dear nik24nik24, European politicians are obliged to act to protect the values of the EU citizens and not those in Trinidad and Tobago like yourself.

Czechia didn't start the strikes against Hamas ;-) but we surely do understand that countries have to be protected against terrorists and aggressors.

Incidentally, president Klaus is not too involved in the Israel issues, and he's been very courageous against the U.S. official policies, e.g. when he rejected that Iraq had WMDs.

So you all approve the fact that its ok civilians to be killed as long as a terrorist group is using them for human shields? But they have no freedom and no state to protect them. If I were in that position I would accept help from anyone, even if he was considered a terrorist by other countries. No my friend you have to know that Israel keeps occupying territories and isolating these areas (with the help of Egypt) which is an act of war according to the international law!

Dear nik24, it's a tough call but after some hesitation, I do approve of it because from a broader viewpoint, it still saves more human lives than those that are sacrificed.

Moreover, the civilians are sadly not as innocent as you suggest. Hamas couldn't operate and do all the bad things if a significant part of the Arab public in Israel failed to genuinely support them.

I consider Gaza to be a part of Israel currently plagued by organized crime - Hamas.
