I won't lie, I love Fallout 3 because it's gameplay is like oblivion, and I love oblivion, and the ambientantion is just great. But thanks to Fallout 3 I'm so interested in play Fallout 1 and 2, so don't complain on Bethesda that much, they've actually revived the series

@omarsattack People don't complain, they just hate Bethesda. Fallout 1 and 2 could have been 'revived', as you said, in so many different ways that would not hurt the spirit of the series and also would sell a lot.

this game is way better than its predecessors, I didn't hear about fallout until the 3rd one came out. I would rather play this 3D open world experience than some shitty 2D turn based piece of shit, and so far millions love it so yeah it doesn't suck.

@RealPublic no, you just play shitty games and are jealous because this game got a million game of the year awards and that this company kicked ass, every review community I went to it scored it over a 9/10, fallout 1and 2 got like a 7/10. And in those fallouts you have to stupid things like click to walk 5 steps, SCREW THAT! in FO3 I can walk all I want and a bigger world to explore with first or third person view. THIS DEBATE IS OVER.

It's a mediacore FP shooter with useless RPG elements. Clunky animations, annoying characters, childish ideas, quests with closely to none choices and consequences. The story is cliche-driven and mediacore.

All that, and it is called Fallout 3,where F1&2 were made to be a classic RPGs in the real RPG way,not for masses who are looking for explosions and 1K body counts,but for those who play games for the story,atmosphere and post-apo sci-fi setting.Like people who like chess wwant to play chess.

The only way this game was somewhat bearable was with a gazilion mods. I never fellt the need to add any mods but the restoration project to fallout 2. Granted I was biased about what I wanted for fallout 3, but this steaming pile of shit bethesda made is just rape of the franchise.

So what theres a big open world, theres nothing of interest in it and what few people you encounter all have the same bored voice actor.

I got nothing against FPS games, I like FPS games. Fallout doesn't need it.

@RealPublic It is true, but it has passed many years after fallout 2, and someone had to continue the legacy, maybe in a bad way for the real fans, but its a good start. Look at fallout new vegas, the obsidian team is gonna work in it, presumibly because fallout3 called their attention, so, it may be a good Fallout with it's spirit instead a good "oblivion" thankfully by bethesda's work. I hope they won't dissapoint the fans with that new sequel.

i love all fallout games especially brotherhood and 3 . number 1 sucked because well MOVING POINTS but 2 was good because it was. I am a all time gamer i player all types fps rts and big game company like call of duty and halo though turn based games didn't appeal to me ( lost oddesy haunted me) though there are some good like final fantasy

@OaverevaO I have to agree with you there. After playing through Fallout 3 and liking it, I went back and played Fallout 2. When I decided to go back and play 3 after a while, It just wasn't the same. The game struck me as a generic FPS with the ability to stop time to shoot your enemies. After seeing how great 2 was in all aspects, to me it beat out 3 by miles.

Putting aside the "consoltard" argument and all the other trolls, most of them don't like fallout 1 & 2 since its a pure RPG.
