@onyachamp ive done a 25sqm ceiling on my own but this one on the video is not 25sqm though is it its more when you have a ceiling this big why bust your ass when it would be easier to get someone in to help you the ceiling whould have a much nicer finish than if you done it on your own but then again your the best aint you no one is as fast and as good as you and where is that video your gonna post.

brettwill87 i have done 25sqm ceilings by myself of stilts and had them come up a treat(though i try to keep them around 16-20sqm so i don't have to bust arse).just because you can't do it doesn't mean no-one can.i will post a vid in the next month or so

people on here make me laugh they just talk so much shit no one could piss that ceiling on their own if you did do it on your own it would be as rough as shit cause i dont care how fast you are by the time you got 2 coats on that ceiling the plaster would have set rock hard and you wouldnt be able to trowel it in and if some one reckons they could do it on their own i would love to see a video it would be a laugh

I was tought by a Welsh Plasterer and there is no way in the world anyone could do that amount in "minutes" It takes time and its not worth knocking anyone if you have yet to try it yourself..

what is the white stuff ?is it one coat...?
we do 2 coats of multi ..
why would you ever bother coating the whole cieling in plaster? flush the joins and the screw holes in base coat , sand it then topcoat it. simple easy and alot less work

murfdogga, the resotration was intended to reproduce as closely as possible the techniques used by the original builders in the early 19th century. More work, but more historically accurate.

Primomate,
The water is used to help smooth out the surface. After the white coat is applied it immediately starts to lose moisture to the brown coat (even after the brown coat is soaked with sprayers). So the plasterers use the brush put water back onto the surface of the plaster so that the friction of the trowel on the white coat will be reduced, resulting in a smoother finish.
