sounds like you need a bigger prop or a pitch change, also sounds like cavitatitaion on take off

Ahh, thanks. I was trying to spot something that would give the location away. I knew I recognised it, but without any shots of the bridge or the SSGB I was lost.. The show had started when I tuned in so maybe they did all that at the start of the show. Great bit of work though!

i know this was for a tv show and it's amazing considering it was done in 6 days but i'm pretty sure everyone watching on youtube would love to either 1:see it converted to a surface drive with a correctly matched prop or 2:a bigger jet pump, i don't think there is any problem with the position or angle of the current propulsion, lower drive means more stress on the motor and more drag, you seem to be more of a bike guy then a boat one but hats off to a unique build, whats the gear ratio in 6th?

Thank you so much for your great comments, you obviously know your stuff (unlike us!!), we ran it in 6th gear, it would not even move in first !. Given the chance i would have tried to gear it down a lot more because the engine had plenty of power to pull it, In reality the engine revs far to high. But it was brilliant fun to do. Thanks again.

Which river did they use in the TV programme. Was it somewhere near Bristol?

We filmed it in the Cumberland Basin, right in the centre of Bristol, next to the SS Great Britain.
