i was teaching in Thailand (mostly Buddhists) for a while and i had a picture in my office of the Mandelbrot set rotated so it was facing up so it looked like the Buddha.. my students were fascinated with it but couldn't explain why :)

I have always thought that the fractal shape looks like the Buddha sitting in meditation. The ending shot is amazing with the ways it shows the energy of the Universe entering the body from multiple angles.
