sorry if the fire fighters aren't being dangerous enough for you. Why risk getting too close after the truck had already been destroyed by the fire and alight for some time? The risk of explosion from such a vehicle is very high. Why don't you go and stand next to it and risk your life for no good reason?
Some people really do type the most stupid comments on here.

What the fuck are the fire brigade doing?....seeing who can piss the furtherest

That's what's wrong with lorries nowadays. If they are from the Continent they do not have to display hazardous signs. I wish the DVLA and Police would change the law because there is eventually going to be a collision which could result in many deaths. After all, when we drive in their countries we have to obey their rules. ie change our lights etcs. Thank goodness no-one was hurt.

I think that we need tougher penalties on foreign people who break our road laws....if they know that they will be driving in the UK then they should make the effort to make themselves aware of the law....we have to when we go to places like france (1 hi-viz jacket per passenger in each vehicle etc...)
-
Thats a very good point, So many drivers are coming over to the UK not running to ADR laws, They dont display the plates because they dont have a ADR licence. But now they are being clamped down on, AT LAST!!
But i still think this is a british truck , It has yellow number plates.
Its not carrying haz materials, Its the tyres that the fire brigade are afraid of, They are like bombs when they explode
-
also....if it was from on the continent then it may not be displaying the correct warning marks as the driver may not be aware of UK road laws.

an hydraulics fluid...although there won't be much of it it is still a hazard

GAS CYLINDERS ???
Had this truck been carrying hazarous materials of any discription on the road in the UK, it would be marked up with hazardous stickers on both sides and the front and rear of the trailer, It would also be displaying an orange plate on the rear.
The danger to the fire service is from the 120psi tyres exploding.

The fire dept had to move back as there were gas cyliders on the lorry better to be safe than sorry dont you think,As i was in charge of the firet pump to arrive
That's actually in Warwickshire :) Gaydon. Not Oxfordshire...

Thats a weird siren at 00.36!!! What the hell was that?

That particular sound is affectionately known as the Bull Horn. The appliance is the one seen shortly after arriving the 'wrong way' down the slip road (01:21) to the front of the lorry. The Bull Horn is now used by quite a lot of emergency vehicles since some motorists ignore the normal siren. It's supposed to be more directional, therefore the motorist should recognise the direction that it is coming from more easily.

Judging by the number of spectators I think it had already been estabished that the driverwas out of the vehicle. I was quite surprised how longit took the police to close the motorway, I think I had stopped filming by then! then we all got moved on by the police.
