Charted at #58 on Billboard Hot 100 in July 1957. Original Billboard review: "The label covers itself again following a dual Gale Storm, Bonnie Guitar smash on "Dark Moon." This time the very strong and appealing ballad, "Fallen Star", gets a powerful treatment by the group spotlighting Jimmy Sacca's great lead. This will compete well with both Jimmy Newman (on the same label, Dot) and a good version by Ferlin Husky on Capitol."

The Jimmy Newman version charted at #42 on the Hot 100, #2 Country and #7 R&B. The Ferlin Husky version charted at #47 on the Hot 100 and #8 on the Country chart. Yet another version by Nick Noble made it all the way to #20 on the Hot 100, all in June and July 1957.

Written by James Joiner.

B-side is "Footsteps".
